CBCPO (Canadian Board of Certification for Certified Prosthetists and Certified Orthotists) is a non-profit corporation recognizing proficiency in the field of Prosthetics and Orthotics. CBCPO regulates the certification and ethics of Canadian Certified Prosthetists and Certified Orthotists who practice in the field of fitting and manufacturing prosthetic and orthotic devices. Individuals wishing to be granted certification must show necessary educational experience and must pass the certification exam process. Once certification is granted, membership is renewed annually in order to maintain mandatory good standing status.  

CBCPO regulates the accreditation of Prosthetic or Orthotic facilities. Accreditation provides assurance that facilities will provide the highest order of professional competency, patient care and client service.
